Old Tint Removal & Replacement

Frequently Asked Questions

Most standard vehicles take approximately 2–3 hours. Strip and re-tints may take longer depending on the condition of the existing film. Paul will give you an estimate at the time of booking.
You can drive your car immediately after installation. Keep your windows up for at least 2 days while the film adheres. During this time you may notice small water pockets or haziness — this is completely normal and will disappear as the film fully cures.
In Western Australia, front side windows must allow at least 35% of light through (35% VLT). This means 35% tint is the darkest shade you can legally apply to front windows. Rear side windows and the rear windscreen must allow a minimum of 20% VLT. Paul is fully up to date with WA regulations and will advise you on the best legal shade for your vehicle.
Make sure your enclosed garage or workshop is accessible and has power available. Ensure the garage has enough room to open all doors fully on your vehicle. It helps to have your car cleaned beforehand (at least the windows), but Paul will also clean the glass before installation as part of the process.
The lifetime warranty covers delamination (film peeling away from glass), bubbling, colour change/fading, and defects in the film itself. It does not cover physical damage caused by scraping or scratching the film. LLumar also backs their Ceranova film with their own manufacturer warranty.
Yes. Many new cars come with light factory tint already built into the glass. We can apply LLumar film over the top to achieve a darker result. Just keep in mind that factory glass tint and the applied film combine, so Paul will factor this in when advising on shade choice to keep you within legal limits.
